Christmas at All Saint's Church, Butler's Pantry and Cherwell Edge Golf Club
The Christmas season was pretty hectic this year with several performances in varying locations.
Our 4th annual Carol concert was held at All Saint's Church in Middleton Cheney, and was a roaring success. It was the second year we were lucky enough to have men in our choir, but this year the section nearly doubled in size! The men did us proud with their renditions of A Spacemen Came Travelling, and the more traditional We Three Kings which was adapted to accommodate the 4th King......oh, and the Spare! The ladies did a stirling job too, and we were also joined by the Middleton Cheney Handbell Ringers who performed their pieces well too. This concert is always well supported by the local villagers, and is a great event for the whole family, and it's always lovely to see the children joining in with Away in A Manger.
Carolling continued at The Butler's Pantry in Middleton Cheney, where we performed for the patrons of the cafe, again, we went down a storm, and have even been asked to go back!
A new gig for us this year saw us return to Cherwell Edge Golf Club, where we put on a concert for the diners at a Christmas Sunday lunch event. After the diners had been treated to a sumptuous two course lunch, we performed our numbers with aplomb, and received many compliments, and a request for a return which was yet another boost to our egos, and something to look forward to in 2016, can't be bad!
